Saki ch. 65 [Mg]

Look, it’s out! As promised, here’s the latest chapter of Saki. Next chapter will be published in 3 weeks.

I almost forgot about it, but here are the comments for some pages on this chapter:

Page 8:

  • iamthecheese: I love how Mako is like: ”Whoa, wait a second, I’ve been oblivious all this time to the fact that Hisa is totally railing this chick while I’ve been getting no carpet? Random PVs [PV]

I found them when cleaning up my fansub directories. Both are done by original staffs (uses ancient tools, ofc. And the subs are in .ssa format). Too bad the “Onna no Ko Otoko no Ko” encoded video I have is broken so I decided to remake (kind of) using original subs (lightly modified, mostly killed the k-timing since it’s out of sync, etc) and muxed with raw from Nipponsei (hai minglong). The “Find The Way” is unmodified apart from the filename.

Some lulz to enjoy while waiting for Saki chapter 64 and vol. 7 (clean, etc), Yoiko 7-8, etc. I also found some other things but they’re for next time (or whenever I feel like it).

Just in case you’re wondering where these are from, “Find The Way” is one of Gundam SEED ending song and “Onna no Ko Otoko no Ko” is School Rumble ending song.

Yoiko 5-6 [An]

Sperm. Ejaculation. Sentou. Hungry Perverted Young Men. Cute Noguchi-sensei. These are some of the things present in Yoiko episode 05 and 06. Oh, wait… There is also the usual comedic appearances with Jiro. Will Jiro finally be able to masturbate? Find out in these two episode. I’m sure you will be surprised. Cheers.

And no, I did not find someone for these two episodes, but am still looking… These were just done before Jupiter left on his break, and had been sitting on Q&A for months. But thanks to mflatischler, Skrotis, and blakbunnie27, I was finally able to resolve the matter on the Q&A. One thing I discovered was the kansai dialect of Japanese is a very complex language to decipher. So hurray for the native to figure them out.

Status on Saki chapter 61-63

First, sorry for lateness. I’m not expecting the progress to be this slow. Basically, the original typesetter was busy with exams and tasks so the job was given to someone else… who uses GIMP. Thanks to that I moved the “edit applier” (er, the one who applies the translation edit to the scans) job to the typesetter and it turns out he works not quite fast enough – hence the slowdown. Add the fact the script need at least two passes edit – first is my edit for fidzlish (translator’s english – complete with literal translation for mahjong terms) to something closer to english (with help from anywhere I can get especially for mahjong terms) and then I pass it to the real editor.

Both chapters 61-62 is currently waiting for my edits to be applied before passed again to the real editor. Please be patient.

In other news, chapter 63 is still being cleaned and translated.

Sad News (Temp)

I don’t think I can finish translating the next episode any time soon (by soon I mean, at least in the next three months).

So there you have it. Jupiter will be away (and probably is away) for a minimum of three months… I have absolutely no idea when episode 05 and 06 of Yoiko will be released. It is supposed to be prior to his absence, but Jupiter hasn’t replied, so mostly likely not. He did say I should ask another translator, so I have go hunting again… I have two potential people in my mind, blakbunnie27 (who has helped us with the last two released episodes) or mflatischler, who recommended to watch the anime via his blog. If not either, you and I (for the first time since my very first fansub, I actually enjoy subbing this anime) will have to wait until Jupiter is back OR maybe someone that understands the kansai dialect, has good understanding of 90’s lifestyle of Japan, and fairly good English shows up, we don’t have to wait. 🙂 Translator found. In other news, Hoshi ni Negai wo: COLD BODY + WARM HEART may be out as early as in this month.
